TriBug with it's creator Anders Eklund
of Huddinge, Sweden

Anders has been playing again... here is his successful 'TriBug' on skis.
Power is 3x '280' motors (Multiplex I believe, Graupner '280' 6v would work), props are by Gunthur of course!
Nearly two years old and still going strong...

SkyHawk by Anders Eklund, displayed by Elin

Permax 400 6 volt direct drive on a Gunthur propellor, battery is 7 x Sanyo 600AE, Kontronik Rondo 400 speed controller, receiver is a Jeti 5, servos are 2x Graupner C261

SkyBug by Anders Eklund

This lovely SkyBug sports a Graupner SPEED 400FG/6v 2.33:1 ratio. 7x 600AE cells, 8 x 4 Slimprop,
and a Kontronik Rondo 400 speed controller.

Anders says the weight came out at 500g
The 'pod' and wing leading edge is covered with Solarfilm, the boom just doped.
Surprisingly this is the first time I have seen Snoopy at the controls of a SkyBug, a natural choice I think !

And now........ on floats !!
It looks like Snoopy got the boot !!

These floats are from a pre-production kit from 'RBC Kits'. Anders has made these floats easily removeable and adjustable in angle via the rear link.
Weight added?.. only 90gram.... and Anders says the flight characteristics did not alter. Water handling is good, though a water rudder would help.

And even skis !!!
Anders says, '....so I went out for some skiing, SkyBug type. All went well, take-off and flying were without problems. Landings in soft snow (knee-deep!) have to be made with wings level and straight into wind. There
is a risk of the skis "cutting down" into the soft snow. On a snow-ploughed field, it is just like landing on wheels. A tail ski is not necessary.'
